Trader Joe's/Bring It To Tulsa

I've told a few of you about the campaign to get Trader Joe's to Tulsa...

Here is the link. You can order what you want online and pick it up on Saturday, Feb 16th from 4-8. The idea is to get a lot of people from different zip codes to order so they can show Trader Joe's that they would have a viable market in Tulsa.

The corn salsa and the Ridge Salt and Pepper chips are a few of my favorite things on the list.

Swift

I had a conversation with a friend yesterday and I told her that I just don't feel inspired to write poetry or lyrics when I feel my life is getting hectic and needs my full attention, which is right about now actually.  This time next week I will be fully moved in to my new dream apartment!  I took the next Friday off and the movers will be at my current place between 8-9 and since I am a planner, plannerton I will be more than ready for them to drive me seven miles west to my new place.  I bought a new mattress and got a huge bargain normally 3k marked down to $799 out the door including mattress and box spring and frame and mattress protector and delivery and 10 year warranty and a 100 day free trial if it doesn't sleep well I can exchange it with no hassle for something softer or firmer in that price range.  I'm giving away my old mattress to someone I think needs it far more than the dumpster I was going to throw my torture causer in.  I hope this resolves my back issues in some way.  I'll be closer to work and more centrally located for my friends as well, but not so much for one and that is what is bothering me most right now.

Starving artist my foot!

First of all this is NOT a representation of any starving artists, this is sweatshop machine runners running a canvas line, and a piss poor one at that.  There was not one had painted work in that tiny little banquet room at the Wyndham hotel yesterday.  It was awful!  First of all the smell of the cheap oleo paint literally made your eyes water and second the paintings were terrible, I wouldn't have given $5.00 for one of their "couch size" paintings!  If you aren't familiar with machine paintings it literally is a painting no human hand has actually touched, now Thomas Kinkade invented this process in San Jose, California but his stuff was done professionally by high priced equipment and steady hands; and for the higher priced pieces it meant that a human had merely brushed one stroke onto the canvas but the machine did the rest, a studio canvas meant Thomas himself had brushed a stroke, an original means he did it himself.  This stuff yesterday fell off a truck, and should have been left in the ditch it fell in.  Bottom line, skip it.

My upstairs neighbor has a leak in his bathroom and we share a common wet wall and so my bathroom walls are damaged and mold is starting to grow so my complex will try to fix it today, but I looked around my windows and the same thing is occurring there as well.  I think I'm going to look at the three new complexes in Owasso, because I am just not loving the direction my complex has taken, at all!  I try to keep the area around my building clean and picked up but no one else seems to care, it's very disheartening.  I don't want to move, but what choice will I have if nothing changes and the place falls apart?

Burnt

As I end what can only be described as a phenomenal weekend, I am older, wiser, and well rested and extremely sunburnt! I got a machine massage which turned out to be more pain than pleasure, won't do that again. Time is passing all too quickly.

I made a mistake and got my hopes up this weekend but tomorrow is fresh with no mistakes and I know I'll do better, I just have to keep reminding myself that actions speak louder than words, and if someone acts like they couldn't be bothered; it's because they couldn't.
