Flattering
The hospital in Helena called me Friday to say they were willing to match my current salary, raise and all if I'd come to work for them, however I feel like I already made that decision and I see no sense it making it again. I have committed to my life here, and it's a charming life I do lead now. Time is flying by so fast because I am having so much fun. I feel like my life is now measured in Saturday's. I am trying to decide now to proceed with IUI or go to school or as my friend suggested, do both. I find myself actually jealous of my friends who have unfettered access to healthy, viable sperm! I have to decide soon what to do because May 28th is steadily approaching~! Alas, my 49ers lost last night and it was brutal; next year guys. Next year.

Valentine's Day Samara idea
Valentines Day is STILL 2/14 folks! I have an awesome Samara idea; instead of a prosaic heart shaped box of chocolates how about this, go to Garden Ridge and buy a large basket and fill it with chocolate things you KNOW the person likes!
What do they get at concessions at the movie theater? What do they keep on hand at home? What doesn't survive on Easter or Halloween? What's their favorite hot chocolate, with mini marshmallows or without? Would they enjoy chocolate liqueur made by Godiva? What about those little bottle shaped liqueur filled chocolates?
Lastly if she is a reader or enjoys her wine, slip in an Amazon gift certificate or a fun new bottle of wine!
For old schoolers make her/him a playlist (aka mixed tape).

Noise
As I sit in my recliner in my room I hear the sounds of the freeway and the city at large, and think back to when I was in Helena on the deck of my friends house and noted that there, I could hear silence if that makes sense. As I walked down her stairs she has a wall of windows out into the forest beyond and it was fun to stand still and look for the deer that blended so well with the winter foliage. Alright, so since I gave my living room set to my dear friend I had to get something to replace it, and last night they delivered my new set which will be complete tomorrow night once they deliver the chair that reclines and the ottoman to match just in time for my 49ers football watch party where I hope my home team makes it into the Super Bowl!
It's not like I am some die hard football fan but that team represents my mom and dad and my hometown to me. My mom never missed a game and the last thing I remember doing with my dad is going to the 49ers parade in downtown San Francisco and it was a blast.
Back to my trip to Helena, when I drove from the airport to Billie's house I knew that I would love to live there, that I could be happy there I also knew if the money wasn't right at the hospital I COULDN'T move there. I just got a 5% raise on the first at NSI and they couldn't match it. I tried not to factor in anyone or anything and just prayed on it, and let God's will be done and so there it is. I will visit as often as I can but I am staying put in Tulsa and letting things blossom and grow organically and I am trying to stay out of my own way.
I get wrapped up in a book and realize I am not OUT there, I am staying in and being comfy and just enjoying the peace and quiet I worked so hard for all my life.
Christopher will be 21 this year and I broke down and called his parents in hopes that they will give me an update. I miss him.
More later....

I knew it!
I just knew the Sooners were going to stun everyone and win that bowl game last night! Too many fans kept telling me to prepare for a loss but I didn't think that was fair, but I also knew Stoops had to bring this win home for his own reasons. It was a good game and all in all not a bad way to end the season. I still feel like I need some sleep but those boxes won't unpack themselves!

Home sweet home!
After a very long odyssey back to Tulsa last night I am so glad to finally be home. My cats were told me all about it for a good hour after I got in the door last night. It should be an interesting day at work given that I've had no sleep really but a few hours I'm really looking forward to the weekend to catch up on some sleep! Tonight the Oklahoma Sooners are playing in their bowl game tonight at 7:30 on ESPN don't forget to set your DVR! Tonight I start to unpack and get this apartment back to its normal homey self no more living out of boxes so I'm really looking forward to that. Two more days left and it's back to a bit of r & r, vacation from your vacation is often in order.

Day one of my 365 day book
I'm waking up in Helena for the last time for this vacation at least and I'll fall into bed sometime around 10:30 Oklahoma time tonight. I will be so happy to see Sookie and Mr. Darcy and sleep in my very own comfy bed. Montana is painfully beautiful, I actually got a little misty when I drove up to Great Falls for the night as the Missouri River winds its way through the canyon. I will always be welcome here but I did what I came to do, celebrate the holidays and get closure on a relationship from another time. I am no longer who I was and I am always trying to make sure to be better than I was the day before and am learning the lessons I can glean so hopefully I can move on from that and not have to learn that particular lesson again in the future. I met Eric and Ali and I hope I never lose touch with them because they've touched my heart and life and I do really love them. I said goodbye to an old friend and we part company in peace and understanding. 2013 was all about hard lessons and accepting situations for what they are, not how I wished they were at the time, and learning that I am grateful God says no to some of my prayers. I am thankful and grateful for my beautiful apartment an my cool job and the 5% raise that goes into affect today! I have no idea what the future holds going into my 40th year of life or where I'll wake up on the dawn of 01/01/15, but I have faith and believe that it'll be one heck of a journey! Stick around it's just keeps getting better.
